Hearing and seeing an orchestra in concert is an experience children will remember forever. This family-friendly concert provides a fun and enlightening approach to music education and will introduce young and old to a wide variety of musical styles.
The programme includes some of the more popular classical workings from a range of composers, popular TV & movie themes as well as some current chart topping singles with an orchestral twist!

Children particularly, will be captivated by the narrated story of Peter & the Wolf – Prokofiev’s classical masterpiece which was written in 1936 USSR with the intention of cultivating “musical tastes in children from the very first years in school”. The concert will incorporate elements of audience participation, so you and your family can get fully involved, sing along and maybe even appear on stage.

With some of Ireland’s best musicians, the Music for Fun Orchestra will take the audience on a journey through time, capturing some of the history and ALL of the fun!
