About Kildare Creative
Kildare Creative is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting the development and success of designers, makers, craftspeople and artists working in the creative sector.
The purpose of Kildare Creative is to bring together craftspeople throughout County Kildare while promoting the excellence of modern Irish craftsmanship. Membership comes through a selection process meeting certain criteria.
For more information on becoming a member, please refer to our Membership page. Members of Kildare Creative are registered with the Crafts Council of Ireland.
The main focus of our network is to give assistance, raise the profile of Kildare craftspeople, access & share information, exhibition & trading possibilities, PR and general support systems. There is constant planning for creative projects and collaborations within the network, therefore, the structure depends on the participation of all its members.
History. The Kildare Creative initiative was brought together by the County Kildare LEADER Partnership in order to create a formal structure for arts and crafts in Co.Kildare. This network strives to become one of the leading craft, art & design portals in Ireland & want to set an example of how the talents of local people can be turned into a viable enterprise.
The goal of Kildare Creative is to house under one roof a gallery of work from the craft collective in the form of an e-commerce site and ultimately a dedicated gallery where exhibitions can be held for contemporary jewellery, ceramics, glass, applied art, textiles and limited edition prints, paintings sculpture and contemporary fashion.
