The Female Propeller for High Fliers is an accelerator programme for female led start-ups which will specifically address the challenges facing female entrepreneurs.

This programme will fast track female entrepreneurs, their leadership skills and their businesses. It will include a comprehensive programme of workshops, bespoke mentoring and excellent networking opportunities.

All participants need to be prepared to work intensively on their business during the 13 week programme, which ends with a DEMO Day at which each company will pitch to a network of investors, mentors and corporates.  Each of the 10 participating companies will receive a grant of 2,500 euros, to help fund their business during the programme.

Who Can Apply?

  • Female founders of start-ups which are less than 5 years old
  • Individuals and teams (max 3 people) may apply.
  • The company must be female led.

To be selected your company must have excellent:

  • Growth Potential
  • Export Potential

Application Timelines:

January 24th Closing date for receipt of Applications (no extensions)
January 27th & 28th Preliminary Judging of ALL Applications received
February 4th Finalists invited to pitch for their place on programme
February 11th Participants informed of their place on the programme
February 25th Day 1 of Programme – 10 companies *

Programme Content:

The focus of the Female Propeller for High Fliers accelerator programme, will be to fast track female-led businesses to achieve scale and create employment. Every Tuesday the programme will run 2 streams of modules, Stream 1 in the morning participants will be taught how to rigorously utilise the Business Model Canvas and apply Lean Start Up methodologies.  Stream 2 in the afternoon will cover a range of soft skills interventions including; individual profiling, one to one coaching and a suite of communication workshops.  Participants will also be introduced to a range of networks and potential mentors.

Demo Day – Tuesday 17th June 2014:

On completion of the Female Propeller Programme, each participating company will have the opportunity to:

  • Pitch to  a network of investors, mentors and corporates to attract follow on funding, future customers and potential partners. (17th June).
  • Win a 5 day trip to Silicon Valley to meet with investors and the start-up community.
  • Other prizes will be disclosed during the Programme.
